2017 Fredonia Heritage Day
Fredonia Heritage Association (501c(3) is a diversified group of individuals volunteering for a common goal: Preservation of the captivating history of this east Alabama rural community and promotion of its continued existence. A major event is Fredonia Heritage Day each November, when the Association stages a one-day fest of entertainment, food, arts and crafts and a heritage theme on the grounds of the historic Fredonia Community House. The Association also sponsors a yearly essay competition based on the heritage theme for students at nearby Five Points School, as well as other events during the year. From funds raised at Heritage Day, Fredonia Heritage Association helps support such local organizations as Fredonia Fire and Rescue and Fredonia Town Council. Volunteers will always find a warm welcome with this organization.
